It has been 90 since my infusion. I went to the eye doctor yesterday just for a check up(I don’t have any eye problems). The best thing about the trip was that I walked with my walker into the office! This is the fartherest I have walked in several years. Probably 500 feet including a slight incline.

Little things keep happening! My balance has improved; I can sit down and stand up with more control; my legs feel stronger; my handing writing looks better; my energy level is increasing.

    This is all good!

    This is great news!

All of the little changes add up and you will see the biggest difference after about 6 months. Make sure you’re keeping up with your journal and noting any change, however insignificant it may seem now. In a few months you’ll look back and notice how far you’ve come.

Let me know whenever you have an update to share with us here. We love to hear how our patients are doing!

My husband had his stem cell treatment in the Cayman Islands on May 16, 2008. He suffers from Mental and physical disabilities due to receiving a Traumatic Brain Injury from a bridge collapse 5 1/2 years ago. He is 24 hour care and only could walk 10 -12 steps with 2 people one on either side holding him up and a walker in front of him and a wheelchair follow. It has only been 4 1/2 weeks and he is now walking with just myself and his walker and I drag the wheelchair along with us myself. Yes it is early on but he is showing progress already. Also his circulation is a 100% better by evidence of having no more blue cold feet and hands. They are warm at all times and normal color now. Well I will keep you posted on future gains.

    Darlene,

It is always great to hear how Garret is doing! Keep up the great work of helping him improve. I’m sure having such a supportive and motivational family does a lot to help his progress. Everyone in the office will be excited to hear of this progress. We hope to hear more from you guys soon!
