Adult Stem Cell Treatment Launch!

Stem Cell Biotherapy is proud to announce the launch of the new adult stem cell treatment procedure referred to as “Apheresis” methodology.

This procedure involves the extraction of stem cells and Mononuclear cells from peripheral blood utilizing an Apheresis instrument, reconditioning the extracted cells on site and injection of the reconditioned cells back into the patient. This procedure is an effective method of treatment for several conditions including autoimmune disorders.  It is also used as an adjunct to our existing stem cell treatment protocols. Additionally, it has anti-aging applications.

For more information you can contact us toll free at 877 STEM123 (877-783-6123) or 818-597-9111 for international callers.

Lumbar Puncture Procedure for Spinal Cord Injuries and Neurological Disorders

istock_000003951983medium.jpgTraditionally, patients with spinal cord injuries have had few treatment options to regain movement and felling. Advances in the field of regenerative medicine offer hope of improved quality of life and independence to patients with complete and incomplete spinal cord injuries. Stem cell therapy introduces new cells into the body which target specific areas and replace damaged cells.

At Stem Cell Biotherapy we have set up a specialized protocol to treat patients with spinal cord injuries and other neurological disorders. We offer a unique treatment combining injections through a sterile spinal catheter that implants the cells directly into the spinal column, and throughout the areas of disease and the spinal cord. Two subsequent IV stem cell treatments are repeated over a six day period, combined with light physical therapy and post treatment supplement enhancers to promote stem cell proliferation.

Our team of board certified surgeons follow a strict patient specific protocol in administration of stem cells as well as post treatment physical therapy. This new lumbar puncture procedure is currently performed by our highly skilled team at our global network of treatment centers. Post-stem cell treatment, patients are asked to submit regular examinations, MRI, PET scan and laboratory tests so we can monitor their progress.

To find out more about this new procedure of delivering stem cells in the treatment of spinal cord injuries and other neurological and neurodegenerative conditions, please contact our office at (818)597-9111 or (877)STEM-123 or visit our website contact page www.stemcellbiotherapy.com .

Great News!

Our two-time patient, Bradley Koenning is seeing great results after being treated in Peru.

Bradley has recently regained the ability to move his hand and wave from the wrist. He is also able to move his toes on either foot. This progress is in line with the time table for progress that we expect to see from this new treatment procedure.

19 year old Bradley has a spinal cord injury stemming from a motorcycle accident in 2005. He received his first stem cell treatment through IV in Mexico in 2006 and has recently received stem cells through lumbar puncture in our pioneer program in Lima, Peru.

We at Stem Cell Biotherapy as well as his family and friends are encouraged by this progress and hope to see the same results from many patients in the future.

Peru - Patient Testimonial

Stephanie C.

Age: 25

Town: San Antonio, TX

Diagnosis: Spinal Cord Injury

Date of Treatment: 3/30/08

‘My experience with Stem Cell Biotherapy has been great. I was part of the first group in Lima, Peru which was very interesting, but an adventure for sure. There were a few complications with accessibility, organization, and the language barrier, but nothing too serious. Everyone really wanted to help and make us as comfortable as we could be. The doctors were really compassionate and well educated about the procedure. They really want to help others with Spinal Cord injuries (and all other medical conditions)live healthier and happier lives.  Dr. Feinerman and Dr. Nabavi are very warmhearted and I owe them so much for making this possible.

Since returning back to Pressing On for therapy, I have made voluntary movements in my legs and my nerve connection is much stronger. My spasms are a little more frequent, but I think it is a good thing since the spasms are what help my brain connect with nerves below my injury.  It’s only been a month since my last injection and I am very hopeful and optimistic still about my recovery. It’s only the beginning for me and many others. I would encourage anyone with a Spinal Cord Injury (or a health condition causing a disability) to participate in these trials with Stem Cell Biotherapy.  Would I do it again? Yes.

Good luck to all of you. Keep the HOPE alive & have faith that all things are possible.  I would be happy to speak with anyone about my experience. Thanks again Stem Cell Biotherapy. You have helped to improve my recovery and quality of life.

With Hope & Love,

Stephanie’

Zona Rio Treatment Center

This month we will continue our successful trips to the International Biocare Hospital in Zona Rio, Mexico.  2008 marks our third year treating patients in this facility.  May will see two trips to the IBC with their exemplary team of doctors, nurses, and support staff. Over 350 patients of various conditions, including multiple sclerosis, diabetes and spinal cord injuries have been successfully treated with our patient specific protocols administered by Dr. Romero and her staff.  Stem Cell Biotherapy is proud to have such an established treatment center in this burgeoning field of stem cell therapy. Patients have given the IBC and Stem Cell Biotherapy great feedback on the treatment center and we use their comments to continually improve the Stem Cell Biotherapy experience at all locations.

Stem Cell Treatment in Zona Rio, Mexico

On March 18, 2008 another stem cell treatment session was successfully completed at our treatment location in Zona Rio, Mexico.  Four patients who had been booked for stem cell therapy, were greeted at the airport in San Diego and transported to a local hotel by a private shuttle.  At Stem Cell Biotherapy, our patients for the latest trip to Mexico, were treated for a range of conditions such as ALS, Multiple Sclerosis and stroke.  Our patient consultants in Zona Rio, Mexico administered the stem cell treatment prepared for each patient following patient specific protocol.  These stem cells had been prepared at our laboratory and transported to the stem cell treatment site, specific to each condition.

At Stem Cell Biotherapy, our representatives from our headquarters in Agoura Hills, CA treat patients at each treatment location and make them feel welcome.  On this trip, Cathy and Stacy were responsible to ensure all patients booked for stem cell treatment were looked after and that the sessions ran smoothly.

The next stem cell treatment session in Zona Rio, Mexico is on April, 10th.  Please feel free to leave a comment about your experiences and views about stem cell treatment.

Stem Cell Therapy for you

This program has been designed by our founders, Dr. Casey Nabavi and Dr. Burton Feinerman.

Stem Cell Biotherapy, is the only commercial provider of therapeutic applications of Human Cord Blood as well as adult Stem Cell Therapy operating from the US providing treatments internationally.”

Patient Evaluation

Patients are asked to complete an online application form or request one by contacting our office. Upon receipt of the completed application form, one of our staff members will contact the patient to set up an appointment for a phone consultation with one of our physicians. The consultation is free and there are no obligations.

Our program has three major components:

1- Patient Specific Treatment Protocols

Each patient is evaluated and a specific protocol is designed. The Patient Specific Protocol will determine:
• Type of cells needed
• The number of each cell lines needed
• The manner of administration of the cells

2- Differentiated Stem Cell Lines

Stem cells are tested, purified and differentiated into various cell lines at our laboratory located in Lima Peru. We have also collaborated with some of the most reliable and reputable biotech companies in Europe, Canada, and the United States to establish protocols to recondition cells that are used in treatments. Stem Cell Biotherapy adheres to all regulations that have been set by Great Laboratory Practices (GLP).

3- Delivery System: Worldwide Clinics & 5 U.S. Clinics

Worldwide networks of clinics have been, and will continue to be, established where treatments are performed. Our clinics, in North America are located in Tampa, Florida, Zona Rio, Mexico and Georgetown, Cayman Islands. Our clinic in Central America is located in Guatemala City, Guatemala.  Additional centers, including centers in Europe and Asia, are under consideration where patients may be referred for stem cell treatments. Most procedures are non-invasive and are performed on an out-patient basis. Some procedures require patients to stay overnight. In all cases lodging, local transportation and other accommodations are pre-arranged by our staff.
